The Fellowship Program is designed to provide qualified students with a partial-tuition waiver for their graduate studies at National-Louis University. There is a work requirement that accompanies each award. Once students have been accepted into the Fellowship Program, they can remain on fellowship until the requirements for their degree are completed.

Fellowship opportunities are not directly connected to a student’s program of choice. Each fellowship has its own requirements and eligibility criteria. It’s the student's responsibility to ensure that the program they choose will fit with the fellowship, otherwise the student will not be eligible to participate.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Must be formally admitted to an on-campus graduate program in the National College of Education (NCE) or the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).
  • Must be a full-time (8 semester hours) or 3/4-time (6 semester hours) student. Only courses being charged the full-per hour-graduate-tuition rate are covered.
  • Must be able to demonstrate financial need (applicants must complete a financial need analysis form that will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Office).
  • Must be available to work sometime during business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
  • Must be able to commit to at least 3 consecutive quarters in the Fellowship Program.
