College of Lake County – NLU Transfer Guide for Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration

Welcome College of Lake County Students

To graduate with a bachelor’s degree from National-Louis University, all students must successfully complete a minimum of 180 QH (120 SH) consisting of courses in general education, the program major, electives and any additional program requirements.

The Business Administration major requires specific general education courses to meet program prerequisites. The following general education requirements may not fulfill the general education requirements for the associate degree at College of Lake County.

Courses That Transfer from the College of Lake County to National-Louis University:
National-Louis University accepts all IAI general education courses to fulfill NLU general education requirements.

The Business pre-requisite courses may be completed at NLU, College of Lake County or another accredited college or university.

Elective credit: (A minimum of 24 SH/36 QH)

Students who have completed other Business-related AA and AAS degrees may be eligible to complete the Business Administration major. Interested students should contact an NLU advisor as soon as possible in their decision making process to create an academic plan.

Students may choose their remaining credit hours from a variety of courses. Regardless of what students choose for their remaining electives, the following courses are strongly recommended to be completed in the junior year to ensure that students will complete the necessary pre-requisites for the final year at NLU.

Students are also encouraged to complete additional courses in communication, math, social science, and humanities. These and the remaining elective courses required for the degree may be completed at NLU, at other colleges or universities, or through CLEP/DANTES tests at any time in the students’ courses sequence. A maximum of 60 QH of technical credit may be applied to the bachelor’s degree. It is strongly recommended that students consult with an NLU faculty advisor when selecting elective courses.
