The National College of Education (NCE) at National Louis University is committed to program quality and the use of candidate assessment data for program and unit improvement through a yearly assessment analysis and reporting process at the program, college and institutional levels. Through review of data and a reflective cycle, NCE continually monitors the coherence and the effectiveness of program and unit operations in relation to institutional, state, and national standards, as well as the NCE Conceptual Framework.
Evidence of our candidates’ performance is derived through multiple assessments from internal and external sources and is systematically collected as candidates progress through and complete their programs. Candidate outcomes are demonstrated in Illinois State Board of Education tests, ISBE Annual Reports, Title II reports, Employer and Alumni surveys and our NCE Annual Assessment reports.
NCE’s assessment system is an integral part of our culture of inquiry — focusing on our professional values, performance expectations, and commitment to educator preparation. The data on candidate performance outcomes are presented for specific academic years. The Courses of Study for the academic years are provided for each program.
