CMB Partnerships
The College of Management and Business (CMB) has been an innovator in educating the working adult thru student cohorts, flexible scheduling, and rolling registrations. CMB is now extending its outreach by partnering with private sector firms to provide educational courses to the partners' employees at their work site. Additionally, CMB is teaming with training companies and community colleges to share resources including faculty and classroom space.
These partnerships are part of an emerging trend where traditional colleges are unbundling their degrees into individual courses that can be repackaged into certificates, seminars and workshops to meet just-in-time learning needs of industry. The result may be a degree, training or both, but will definitely be part of a continuous learning cycle. Following is a list of current partners:
• Grad School, USDA
• Northern Virginia Community College
• United Parcel Service (UPS)
• AT&T -
