The Middle Level Education Program includes the two courses in middle school education that are needed to meet the state of Illinois endorsement requirements plus additional courses in middle level teaching. Students seeking the middle school state endorsement must complete MLE500, MLE502 and have 18 semester hours in the subject matter area of major assignment.  We offer a masters degree and certificate of advanced studies in Middle Level Education for those who choose to advance their knowledge and expertise in this area.
