Virtual Career Network: A New Opportunity for Secondary Education Students The Office of Career Services has recently launched an exciting new application for current students and alumni to network with employers around the country. The highly intuitive and user-friendly application is called the Virtual Career Network (VCN). Employers are able to post positions independently and students are allowed to post their resumes and apply for positions. This is a free service offered by National-Louis University. This is an excellent opportunity for students in the Secondary Education program (and all other programs) to work on their resume, practice for interviews, and search for jobs out in the field. Take advantage of the network and log on now! There are two ways to log on to the Virtual Career Network. You may log in through the NLU Portal or go directly to the website. We recommend registering for the site through your NLU Portal. It will make the registration process less lengthy and will associate your NLU data with the Virtual Career Network. Follow these steps to log on now: Step 1: Log on to your NLU Portal. Step 2: Click on Virtual Career Network on the left side of the page under NLU resources. Step 3: Register on the system and get to networking! | If you do not wish to log on through the NLU Portal or you are an employer, click on the image or link below. Virtual Career Network About the Virtual Career Network When you register with the free Virtual Career Network, you will be able to host your resumes, search for employers, learn about career fairs, and much more. With a user-friendly interface and intuitive design, the Virtual Career Network takes the hassle out of online job searches. Here is a sample of what the VCN looks like when you register and log-in: You can add modules to your homepage that will help you view new job postings, upcoming events, upcoming deadlines, and more. If you are an employer interested in putting up a job posting: Register with the Virtual Career Network to place your job opportunity and recruit NLU students and alumni.
