  • APPLICATION DEADLINES FOR STUDENT TEACHERS PRACTICUM (ALL CERTIFICATION STUDENTS)
  •  February 1 for Fall Quarter (and Summer Quarter M.Ed. advisor approval only)
  •  April 1 for Winter Quarter
  •  October 1 for Spring Quarter
  •  Basic Skills Test and Certification Tests in LBSI and the APT test have been applied for, taken and passed.  Check the Quarterly for the testing    schedule and registration deadlines.

•    Save all the original log sheets of each of the 9 courses with 15 clinical hours. Submit the original set of log sheets of all your Special Education clinical experiences to Howard Falk on the Wheeling campus (ext. 5624) as soon as all of your hours have been completed.  Keep one copy for yourself of all your log sheets.

•    Apply for certification through entitlement by contacting Barbara Wilkovich on the Wheeling campus at (847) 947-5348.  She will send you the appropriate forms and explain the process.  You may initiate the process the quarter you are taking your last program certification course(s).
•    Apply for a diploma and marching in commencement (these are two separate entities) with the Registrar’s Office (847) 947-5313 or 5319, usually 6 months prior to the expected date of graduation.  The deadline typically occurs in February for a June diploma and commencement, and October for a December diploma.  It is your responsibility to check the Quarterly for dates and complete the appropriate applications by the due date.  All core and program coursework must be completed in order to receive a diploma.
