Biography:

James W. Nowotarski is an assistant professor in the College of Management and Business at NLU's downtown Chicago campus. His focus is how organizations and managers can most effectively select, implement, and use Information Technology (IT) to achieve business goals.

External to NLU, he is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Project Management Institute (PMI), Society for Information Management (SIM), and the Value-Driven Change Leadership working group on project management.

He has been a consultant and educator his entire career. Prior to joining NLU, he worked at the consulting firm Accenture in Chicago for more than 20 years on large information systems projects for clients such as Baxter International, IBM, the Internal Revenue Service, and The Northern Trust Bank. He also led Accenture research and development initiatives in systems development, eCommerce, knowledge management, and offshore development. He taught numerous classes at Accenture's training facilities in Asia, Europe, and North America
