We have an experienced and dedicated group of professors. Each one strives to create a supportive and challenging classroom atmosphere to encourage students to participate. To learn more about each one individually, go to the Faculty page.
Our Mission
National-Louis University's Mathematics Department faculty are dedicated to the building of a firm foundation of mathematical skills in students with enthusiasm and care. They strive to provide students with opportunities to:
- formulate and solve problems in the contexts of daily adult life, careers, and citizenship;
- choose from a variety of mathematical methods and computer technologies to solve problems, and to recognize their natural limitations;
- estimate, make conjectures and inferences, check results, select optimal solutions;
- work with others in problem-solving situations;
- communicate mathematics effectively both orally and in writing;
- develop self-confidence in problem-solving; and to
- experience mathematics as a valuable human endeavor
