• The B.A. in Social Science was approved by the College of Arts and Sciences in June 2002. Approval by the university is expected in Fall 2002. The degree will be available during the 2002-2003 academic year.
  
  
• The Department is participating in the development of a Master in Liberal Arts program to be offered jointly with other CAS departments.
  
  
• The Social Science Department in collaboration with the Department of Business Administration of the College of Management and Business is developing a concentration in Business Economics to be offered to students pursuing a B.A. in Business Administration. The concentration is expected to be available during the 2002-2003 academic year.
