Nancy Hyland has been in the education field for 30 years, having held both teaching and administrative positions in the public school system, continuing education and university.

In addition, Ms. Hyland has owned and operated he own small business. She is a Director of the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education, Past President of Nova Scotia Education Drama Association, and former Nova Scotia Councillor for the Canadian Association of Business Education Teachers. Presently, she is Director of Adult Learning and Innovation for the Nova Scotia Department of Education.
