A native of the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly known as the Belgium Congo and then Zaire), I have lived in various places around the world. It is this opportunity to see education in various contexts that first piqued my interest regarding learning and development. Having begun my journey with a degree in elementary and early childhood education, I soon transferred to Adult Ed. My past professional experience included a position as Education Coordinator: Curriculum and Human Resource Development. Currently, I have my own company which specializes in soft skills training and motivational speaking. I am also adjunct faculty for NLU's Bachelor of Applied Behavioral Sciences program as well as for the Adult & Continuing Education Department. A key catalyst for my wanting to rigorously explore the field of adult development and learning is my own chaotic tendencies to want to try everything, learn all, and yet escape from potential failure.
