I live in a small community on the outskirts of Chicago. My husband and I are empty nesters after raising eight children into adulthood. I am greatly interested in the volunteer activities of older adults and focus my attention on intergenerational programs. I curently share my energies with cohorts on a local Board of Education and serve as a Director with the Illinois Association of School Boards. Through the years I became a wife and mother by commitment, gerontologist through education, volunteer by vocation, crafter by obsession, school board member by choice and life-long learner by pursuit.
