Like most people I wear many hats.
Past hats--I grew up in a very small town in Southern Iowa (400 people) and received my Bachelor of Music degree (with a teaching certificate) from the University of Iowa (Iowa City, Hawkeyes). I worked in personnel and training for Maurices (a retail company) for 13 years. I received my Master of Arts degree in Management from The College of St. Scholastica, in Duluth, Minnesota, where I now work.
Worklife hat --I am a faculty member in a distance learning based Master of Education degree program. For those of you that are wondering, there really is a St. Scholastica. I teach courses in the program and handle the marketing.
Worklife hat 2--I am an adjunct faculty member in the Management department and teach courses in Human Resources and Marketing. I also teach seminars for the Management Institute at The College.
Mom hat--I am the mother of 3 girls, Rose, 8, Ivy, 5, and Willow, 3. I call them the Huber garden. More about gardening below.
Spouse hat--I have been married for 21 years to Jim, a doctoral candidate in Archaeological Geology. Yes, we have interesting dinner conversations.
Musical hat--I play the organ at my church and conduct the choir. I help out with the childrens choir when needed. I teach private piano and organ lessons to adults and children. I have participated in musical theater both as an actress/singer and musical director.
Gardening hat--Being a small town girl from Iowa, I love growing things. My husband and I have a huge vegetable garden and as many flowers around the house as I can manage.
