Anna Hammond has been an adult educator and teacher for 20 years. Currently she is the Director of the Centers for Academic Development (CAD) at National-Louis University. In this administrative role, Ms. Hammond has given leadership to the design and implementation of university-wide developmental education programs fostering student learning and retention. Her accomplishments include establishment and administration of a variety of learning assistance programs which include early intervention, skills assessment and community access. In addition, she teaches in the Department of Developmental Studies Master's program. Ms. Hammond coordinates the CAD's off-campus initiatives and its partnerships with other organizations in the areas of student assessment and program development. Anna earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, form Chicago State University, and the Masters of Extension Education, from the University of Illinois. She is a leader in the field of learning assistance and currently serves the profession as president of the Midwest College Learning Centers Association.
