Recommendation

Applicants must submit an official letter of recommendation. The letter may be emailed directly from the recommender to admissions@nl.edu or in an envelope sealed by the recommender to the Office of Admissions. The letter should reflect your leadership skills, academic background and reasons why the Harrison Fellows Scholarship should be awarded to you.

In 500 words or less, tell us why becoming a Harrison Fellow Scholar is important to you. Include examples of how you helped create change in your community and/or made a difference in the life of others (family, friends and neighbors).


Scholarship Application Agreement

My submission of this application indicates that I have been informed and agree to the following:

  • If I meet the scholarship application requirements, I will be required to participate in an interview with the NLU scholarship committee
  • I have been informed that eligibility for the scholarship requires daytime attendance on NLU's Chicago campus
  • I must also apply for admission to NLU by submitting a separate application, available at www.nl.edu/applyonline for one of the following programs:
    • Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education
    • Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education
    • Bachelor of Arts in Special Education
    • Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration
    • Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
    • Bachelor of Arts in Human Services
  • If I fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this agreement, National Louis University may 1) refer my account to a collection agent for further collection efforts, 2) initiate legal proceedings, 3) withhold institutional services such as transcripts, diplomas or future registrations, and 4) assess all costs of collections.
  • I must meet the criteria necessary for admission to NLU on order to be eligible for the scholarship

    NLU’s Chicago campus on South Michigan Avenue occupies five floors of the historic Peoples Gas Building. This landmark building, across the street from the Art Institute of Chicago and Grant Park, is easily accessible by train, bus and car and is surrounded by restaurants, parking lots/garages and shops.
