Office of Diversity, Access & Equity

Our university has had a strong commitment to diversity, access and equity since its beginnings in 1886. We are committed to recruiting, hiring and retaining highly qualified faculty, administrators and staff, and to enrolling a student body, who bring with them their unique heritage, lifestyle, nationality, talent and experience.  We believe in respect for, and appreciation of, the different ways we look at the world and the perspectives we bring to the classroom and the NLU community.

We also want to provide a learning environment that is accessible to all who want an education—and where you are viewed on the basis of your ability. The Department of Diversity, Access and Equity works with faculty, staff and students to ensure that NLU complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
