Academic Achievement Scholarship (for freshmen)

   

Awards are $700 per academic term with a maximum of $2,800 per academic year for full-time students.

Academic Achievement Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduation from high school in the academic year that directly precedes initial enrollment at National-Louis University
  • Full admission to an undergraduate degree program at National-Louis University plus at least two of the following three criteria:
    • A calculated grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale*
    • A composite score of 25 or  higher on the ACT or 1060 or higher on the SAT
    • A class rank in the top 10%

  • Full-time enrollment (12 or more quarter hours per term).  FOCUS courses were not considered in determining scholarship eligibility prior to 2008-2009.
  • The scholarship is renewable for four consecutive years contingent upon the recipient maintaining continuous enrollment (summers optional) and maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 for all NLU coursework.
  • The maximum total scholarship is $11,200.

         *NLU reserves the right to exclude non-academic coursework from the calculations.

 

 

Please be advised that undergraduate scholarships can only be applied toward NLU tuition and are not refundable to the student.  Students who receive other NLU scholarships, waivers, grants, and discounts that total 25% or more of tuition for any term are not eligible for the Academic Achievement Scholarship for that term.
